Asakura is a paradise city rich in history and landscapes. The bicycle is the best way to fully enjoy it! The Asakura Cycle Stamp Rally is a good opportunity to experience all the beauty of the city, with its hot springs, parks, temples, ingenious historical monuments and green villages.
The event is already in its 4th edition and it will be held from March 8 to 21, 2021. It is recommended to all ages. A race for children will be organised on March 21. Kirin Brewery Fukuoka Factory is organizing this event at the Kirin Cosmos Festa, in a family atmosphere.
In addition to exercising and breathing fresh air, your participation will allow you to accumulate points and collect stamps to earn several memories and privileges.
Organized by Asakura tourism association, the event aims to promote green tourism while encouraging outdoor activities and allowing participants to de-stress (especially during this difficult period due to the COVID-19 coronavirus). If you complete parts of the tour, you will be able to apply for the Harazuru Onsen Special prize (equivalent of 30,000 yen for accomodation and meal ticket).
There are mainly six places to discover through this tour: Amagi Park, Kusaba River Cherry Blossom Trees, Shinkyo Shrine, Chikuzen Sendo Kofun and Toho Village famous for its art of pottery. At the start, the organizers will explain everything about the tour, the even special app (to collect the stamps) and the prizes. From March 8 to 21, the departure point is from Asakura Tourism Association, 1320 Amagi, Asakura City.
Everyday you can organize your tour as you wish and visit the places you choose on the map. A QR code will allow you to open the map and view the points where you can collect the stamps. If you don’t have a smartphone, it is still possible to participate. If you come by train, it is possible to rent a bicycle or an e-bicycle for a few hours or for the day.
Participation may be restricted or the content of the event may change due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection. Safety and hygiene measures have been taken to ensure this tour runs in the best possible conditions.
Free parking is available near the Amagi Station. For more information or to make a reservation, please consult the following link https://asakuracyclefestival.com/festival/.
