Harazuru no Mai is a Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) located in Asakura with a beautiful view of Chikugo river and Mino mountain range. Within 5-minute driving, you can reach the famous Hishino Triple Water Wheels. There are many other attractions near by such as Ukiha Inari Shrine and Koyama Shoryudaikannon.
There are nine types of rooms after renovation. The rooms are particularly spacious and comfortable. Besides Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, there are Kyoto-style, Chinese-style, and Bali-style rooms. Every room has its private hot spring bath flowing directly from the source. Harazuru onsen water is known to be soft and moist with many benefits for skin, blood circulation, and muscles. The private hot springs have different styles to meet guests’ expectations.
Harazuru No Mai meals are based on traditional Japanese cooking techniques and Japanese Kaiseki haute cuisine. Using seasonal local vegetables and fruits, Wagyu beef from Kagoshima prefecture, and other specialties in the region, both the breakfast and the dinner are a combination of Kyushu’s various tastes.
