The legend says that a couple of farmers who had land in Harazuru started digging it until the hot spring water came out. The quantity of water was so impressive that they decided to start a Ryokan project (Japanese traditional Inn). 

Toyotomi Ryokan is proud of its high-quality onsen water with a pH of 8.5 and rich in sulfur that helps to remove melanin contained in the stratum corneum. It is 100% all-natural hot spring water, 563 liters per minute from 700 meters underground. You can use the hotel facilities without an overnight stay.

The Ryokan offers many types of hot springs including a cave bath and an open-air bath. 

Most of the rooms have a nice view of Chikugo river, the longest in Kyushu. On clear days, the guests can enjoy the sunset from their rooms.

All the rooms are Japanese-style with Tatami and you can enjoy a fancy Kaiseki cuisine based on fresh ingredients from local farms.
